Inter-faith dating?

A guy friend and I are interested in each other so we're taking it slow and becoming better friends before jumping into dating. I'm a Christian, but I don't think he has the same beliefs. Honestly, I don't think it's a big deal, but I've also never dated before.

Has anyone ever dated someone with different spiritual beliefs?

It all depends on how much your convictions are with your religion %26amp; how deeply rooted you are in your faith. You say you are a Christian, do you mean a "born again" Christian? There are lots of religious beliefs out there %26amp; some are very different than a those of being a Christian. Too, it all depends on how committed he is to his religion period. Since you're new in the dating experience, try to make it as easy on yourself regarding "deep" convictions of all kinds. For now I'd just say if you like him have fun %26amp; it's all a learning experience just like most things are in life. To me it would make a real difference, but that's me, %26amp; we're all different. IF you're just dating for fun, going out %26amp; just plain learning your way around, I would say not to worry about it at the moment. When you get serious about someone then it w/become an issue you'll have to resolve. Basically, its' all in what your priorities are.

PS...my Dad was a preacher, so naturally my roots go deep!

It's not a very good idea to date someone that doesn't have the same religion you do, cause they're not going to bring you up in your relationship with the Lord, they're just going to drag you down.

I have never dealt with that, but I don't think it's a good idea and I know that I have been told that it's not a smart thing to do.
